Edit inventory fields inline

Availability and price change in the table itself: click the cell, pick or type, done. No dialog and no confirm step. Both are yours to keep current — the status a buyer reads in the presentation is the one in this table.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open the project and go to the Inventory tab.
  2. If the chip beside Unit/Lot Inventory reads Locked — this project is live, click Unlock. It locks itself again when you leave the tab.

Change availability

  1. Click the status badge in the Availability column.
  2. Click a status in the list. Each badge previews how the cell will look, and the current one carries a check. The change saves at once.

The list holds the statuses this project uses. Adding, renaming or recolouring one happens in Settings, on the Statuses tab.

Change the price

  1. Click the cell in the Price (Sale) column.
  2. Type the amount. The field formats it as $1,234,567 and drops anything that is not a digit.
  3. Press Enter, or click away, to save. Escape cancels.

Ground Floor Area, Mezzanine Area and Roller Door Size edit the same way. Changing either area rewrites Total Area as the sum of the two. For every other field click the pencil, edit in Edit Inventory Item, and click Save Changes.

What you see when it worked

Inline edits are silent. The cell shows a marker instead: a spinner while it writes, then a tick once the value is saved. The Edit Inventory Item dialog is louder — a Success toast reads Inventory item updated successfully.
