Sign in, reset your password, or accept an invitation

Your account is opened by Vision Pitch and reaches you as an invitation. From there every password screen is yours: set one, reset it, change it.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Open the Portal. The Welcome card opens on the Sign In tab.
  2. Enter Email and Password.
  3. Click Sign In.

Set a password from an invitation

  1. In the invitation click Set up secure access. The page Set Your Password opens.
  2. Enter Password and Confirm Password. Eight characters minimum.
  3. Click Set Password. You land in the Portal, already signed in.

The link is spent when you submit the form, so opening the email to read it does no harm.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. On the sign-in page click Forgot Password?.
  2. Enter Email and click Send Reset Link.
  3. Open the email Reset your VisionPitch password and click Reset password.
  4. On Set New Password fill New Password and Confirm Password, then click Update Password. Eight characters minimum.
  5. You are signed out and returned to the sign-in page. Sign in with the new password.

Change the password you have

  1. Open Profile from the sidebar.
  2. Click Change Password.
  3. Fill Current Password, New Password and Confirm Password, then click Update Password.

Two traps

Sign Up accepts a six-character password. Every other password screen demands eight. A short password created at sign-up keeps working until the day you reset it, then it is refused.

Signing yourself up on Sign Up leads nowhere: the account attaches to no company and drops you on an empty Dashboard, with no way to join one from inside. Only the invitation attaches you to your company.

What you see when it worked

Signing in shows a Welcome! message reading You've successfully signed in. and opens the Dashboard. Finishing an invitation shows Welcome. Your account is ready. A reset shows Password updated successfully!, a change from Profile shows Password updated successfully.
