Upload and adjust brand guidelines

The Portal reads colours and fonts out of your brand document and keeps them against your company. Upload the PDF, pick the pages, correct what it got wrong, add the logos.

Before you start

You are signed in as a client. Branding is saved against your company.
Keep your own copy of the brand document. The Portal keeps the colours and fonts it reads out of it, not the file.
Have the document as a PDF under 50MB, and logo files as PNG or JPG with the wider side at least 150px.
Only colours found in the document can be assigned to a role. There is no free colour entry.

Steps

Open your company page and scroll to Company Branding.
Under Extract Brand Colors & Fonts click Upload Brand Document and pick the PDF.
On Select Pages for Branding Extraction choose up to six pages. The first three are selected for you. Clear Selection starts over.
Click Extract from {n} pages. The panel Processing Branding PDF shows progress.

Adjust the palette

The dialog Assign Color Roles opens on its own. Select a role — Primary, Secondary, Accent, Background or Text — then click a colour to assign it.
Click a swatch under Current Assignments: to unassign it. Reset clears your changes.
Click Save Assignments. To come back later, use Edit Colors on the Brand Colors card.

Set the fonts

On Brand Fonts click Edit, then pick a Heading Font and a Body Font. Preview: shows the sample text.
Click Save Fonts.

Add logos

Click the Light Logo or Dark Logo box and pick a file. It uploads at once. Remove clears it.

What you see when it worked

Extraction confirms with Branding data extracted and saved successfully!, the dialogs confirm with Colors saved successfully and Fonts saved successfully, and a logo confirms with Light logo updated or Dark logo updated.

Brand Colors changes from No brand colors defined yet to a grid of swatches, and its button changes from Assign Colors to Edit Colors. Each font name renders in its own typeface.

After a logo upload, check the box shows your logo. The confirmation appears even when the file did not save, so upload it again if the box is empty.

If it does not work

What you see	What to do
`File size must be less than 50MB`	Compress or split the PDF.
`Failed to generate page thumbnails`	Click Back to Upload and upload the file again.
`Branding extraction failed`	Reselect the file and extract again.
`Failed to save colors`	Retry the save.
`Failed to save fonts`	Retry the save.
`Only PNG or JPG files are allowed`	Re-export the logo as PNG or JPG.
`Logo must be at least 150px on the wider side`	Supply a larger image.
`Invalid image file`	Re-save the image and try again.
On a project's Branding tab, `Failed to save project branding` and `Project colors saved successfully` together	The colours did not save. Reopen the dialog to see what is stored, then save again.
`Failed to remove logo`	Retry.
